Shohei Ohtani’s use of Jujutsu Kaisen-themed music as part of his walk-up soundtrack inspired the creative direction of this piece. Widely known as a personal favorite of Ohtani’s, the anime served as a cultural touchpoint in the original Topps card design he later shared publicly. That idea evolves here into a full-size display vinyl, with the color palette shifting from red to blue to reflect Ohtani’s move to Los Angeles and his cross-league legacy.

Part of the Greatest Hits series, this vinyl artwork reimagines the connection between baseball, music, and culture. Created by DJ Skee—known for his Topps Project70® cards and music industry work—the six-part collection expands card culture into display-ready vinyl, transforming each player’s story into a visual album. The full set debuted at a Tokyo pop-up gallery, marking the start of a long-term creative collaboration with MLB Players, Inc.

Each 12-inch vinyl is fully playable, featuring Baseball Zen Ambiance on Side A and Take Me Out To The Ballgame on Side B. While the audio remains consistent across the series, each release pairs those recordings with player-specific artwork inspired by iconic album covers, making every edition a unique blend of baseball, music, and visual design.
